Muskoka Watershed Council is hosting the 2018 Summit on the Environment!

This year’s theme is Restoring our Relationship with the Natural World.

The Summit will aim to understand and promote a variety of perspectives to examine how to bring ethics into our relationship with the biosphere and various views of our place in nature.

The Summit will explore the role of cultures, beliefs and science in building a more balanced and ethical understanding of our relationship with Earth. A number of remarkable speakers will lead us on this journey, including:

• Stephen Scharper from the University of Toronto
• Meg Lowman from the California Academy of Sciences
• John Smol from Queen’s University
• F. Stuart Chapin from the University of Alaska
• James Gordon from the City of Guelph
• Dan Longboat from Trent University

A panel session will be moderated by CBC’s Paul Kennedy and featured on his show “Ideas.”
