Living Green Barrie in partnership with the Barrie Native Friendship Centre are proud to host the Maada’ookii Harvest Share, a community event celebrating abundance, learning, and sharing.

Harvest Share will bring the community together around food—how we grow it, how we use it, and how we can waste less of it. The event will focus on practical ideas for reducing food waste, eating more plant-forward meals, and understanding local food security challenges.

Community members will be invited to share surplus homegrown produce (fruits and vegetables), between 10 am and 2 pm.

The event will include a series of informal, drop-in information sessions/presentations starting at 10:30 am throughout the day, developed in collaboration with community partners. These sessions will provide practical insights and resources for everyday action.

We’re still working with our partners to finalize the details and add a few special touches—but we promise it will be worth the wait!

Save the Date: Saturday Sept 12
