Tuesday May 6th 4:00pm- 5:30pm
Dunlop and Eccles, Lower Kidds Creek
Join us as we continue to plant trees for climate action in Barrie.
Help Grow Barrie’s Urban Canopy!
Community members of all ages are invited to plant trees with Living Green Barrie. Come on your own or bring some friends!
This event is free, but donations to our #10,000 are appreciated. So far over 6,000 trees have been planted by people just like you!
Become a neighbourhood tree steward. Learn how to properly plant a tree so it will grow to maturity. With your help, we are closer to reaching #10,000 trees campaign goal!
Shovels and buckets will be provided.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Please Note: Late arrivals are absolutely fine—we just ask that you arrive at least 30 minutes before the event ends so you have time to get at least one tree in the ground.
Enter the site from Parkside Drive (NOT Eccles Drive as there is a tree down). Be aware that there is no bathroom on site. We will have shovels and gloves so you shouldn’t need to bring anything except closed-toe footwear and your water bottle. It should be a lovely day today!
Head toward Queen’s Park & Park on Parkside drive.
The entrance to the site is off Parkside (toward Dunlop)
We will have flags and signs.
