Oak Ridges Moraine Land Trust
On Sunday, November 15, help restore habitat at the beautiful MapleCross Featherstone Nature Reserve, near Port Hope, and play a direct role in the recovery of the endangered Kirtland’s Warbler, one of North America’s rarest songbirds.
By planting native shrubs, you’ll help create and enhance critical habitat for the Kirtland’s Warbler and many other at-risk species. Every shrub planted contributes to a larger restoration effort that supports biodiversity and helps this remarkable bird recover in Ontario.
In addition to making a difference for wildlife, participants will enjoy the stunning scenery and sweeping views of one of Northumberland County’s most beautiful natural landscapes.
When: Sunday, November 15, 2026, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Where: MapleCross Featherstone Nature Reserve, Northumberland County, ON (details provided upon registration)
Please wear sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing and be prepared to get your hands dirty for a great cause. We will provide shovels and gloves, and washroom facilities will be available on site.
