Living Green Barrie in partnership with the Barrie Native Friendship Centre are proud to host the Maada’ookii Harvest Share, a community event celebrating abundance, learning, and sharing.

Harvest Share will bring the community together around food—sharing it, learning how we grow and use it, and exploring how we can waste less. The event will focus on practical ways to reduce food waste, enjoy more plant-forward meals, and better understand local food security challenges.

Community members are invited to share surplus homegrown produce (fruits and vegetables), between 8:30 am and 1:00 pm.  

The event will include a series of informal, drop-in information sessions and presentations throughout the day, developed in collaboration with community partners. Running from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., these sessions will offer practical insights, ideas, and resources to help you take action in your everyday life. Details coming soon!
